Raymond began his cable TV career as an entry level technician in Nacogdoches, Tx in 1976 with TCA Cable company. In the years following he was promoted to and held positions of Chief Technician, District Technician, Regional Engineer with TCA Cable, Director of Engineering with Cox Communications, and VP of Technical Operations with Suddenlink Communications. Duties and expertise during these job functions include plant design, plant construction, maintenance, service, installation, project management, budgeting at system and regional level, technician supervision and training, amplifier and microwave equipment operation and repair, point to point microwave system design and maintenance, headend facility design and construction, fiber optic plant design, splicing and repair, and contractor selection and management during new build, upgrade, and rebuild projects. After leaving the operator side of the business, Raymond worked with CommScope doing connector and broadband technical training, along with some technical assistance on sales calls. Following the work with CommScope, Raymond joined with HTP Communications.
