April 17th, 2019
8:00 AM Webinar start time
WIFI interference | Contending with Multiple Wireless Technologies in a Connected Home. |
This technical webinar will discuss the concept of interference in WiFi networks and will begin by reviewing the evolution of WiFi technology over the last two decades. Next, we will review spectrum as the most important resource for wireless communication systems. Focusing on home networks. In addition, MIMO will be introduced as a fundamental component of advanced WiFi systems and a prominent way to mitigate interference. MIMO technical concepts and configurations including Multi-User MIMO will be reviewed. In conclusion, this webinar will provide insight on how future WiFi networks can mitigate interference. |
As more devices become enabled for IP connectivity within the home, the potential for wireless interference increases. Not all connected devices within the connected home operate with the same wireless technology; as a result some devices may in fact cause interference with one another. And important steps can be taken to understand best practices in order to mitigate and avoid interference caused by competing devices in the connected home. This webinar will explore different wireless technologies currently deployed in the smart home environment and their ideal use cases as well as best practices for resolving issues of interference to ensure a high quality customer experience. |
